Product Guidelines
CLEANING AFTER USE
Clean your concrete product immediately after use. For general cleaning, use warm water and a soft or microfibre cloth. For tougher stains, use a mild household cleaner or liquid soap – never use bleach, ammonia, abrasives, or chlorine-based products.
All-purpose cleaners are acceptable, but always test in an inconspicuous area fi rst. Rinse thoroughly with clean water and dry immediately to avoid water spots.
SPILLS & STAINS
Wipe spills immediately. As concrete is porous, water spots may form but typically evaporate over time. Do not allow water to pool and air dry.
Do not spill candle wax. If it happens, wipe with a warm damp towel – never scrape with sharp objects.
HEAT & SURFACE PROTECTION
Never place hot pots, pans, or tableware directly on the surface. This can damage the sealer and cause staining. Use trivets, mats, or covers.
Avoid cutting or abrasive actions directly on the surface – always use chopping boards. Place felt, rubber pads, or cloth beneath heavy or rough-bottomed items to prevent scratches or sealer wear.
OUTDOOR EXPOSURE
While GFRC is designed for outdoor use, long exposure to rain, pollution, UV, and temperature extremes will degrade the sealer and surface finish. Use a protective cover when not in use, especially if the table is left outside uncovered. Cover all areas exposed to moisture.
SEALING
Reseal at least twice a year and before winter. Use a high-quality water-based sealer formulated for stone or concrete (available at hardware stores).
Ensure the table is clean and dry before application. Apply with a clean brush and coat all surfaces, including the underside. Apply 2–3 coats evenly. Let it dry fully before covering.
CRACKS
Hairline or shrinkage cracks are common and form during curing. They are purely cosmetic and do not affect the structural integrity of the furniture.
HANDLING
● Do not drag the table – always lift from both ends.
● Avoid hitting edges or joints.
● Do not stand on the table or strike it with hard objects.
